Privacy Policy
Last updated October 11, 2026
FolioDesk is an online organizer for interior designers. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit foliodesk.net or use the FolioDesk app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your information, and we do not show ads.
What we collect
- Account details. Your name, email address, studio name (if you give one) and password. Passwords are stored by our login provider in scrambled (hashed) form; we can never see them.
- Your work. The clients, rooms, products, spec sheets, mood boards, tasks, procurement lists, branding and images you add. This is your content and we use it only to run FolioDesk for you.
- Product links. When you paste a product link or use the Save to FolioDesk button, we read that public product page to fill in its details. We keep the details you save, not your browsing.
- Payment details. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never touches our servers. We keep your plan, a Stripe customer reference and whether your subscription is active.
- Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and, if you tell us, the tool you use today.
- Basic technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider records standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To run your account, save your work and show it to you on any device.
- To process subscriptions, send receipts and handle billing questions.
- To send emails you need, such as confirming your address, resetting your password, payment receipts and important changes to the service. If you joined the waitlist, we will email you when FolioDesk opens.
- To keep FolioDesk secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
Who helps us run FolioDesk
We share information only with the companies that provide the services FolioDesk is built on, and only what they need to do their job:
- Supabase stores accounts, your work and your images.
- Vercel hosts the website and its server functions.
- Stripe processes payments and manages subscriptions.
- Google Fonts, jsDelivr and cdnjs deliver fonts and code libraries to your browser, so they see your IP address when the page loads.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a buyer if FolioDesk is ever sold, in which case this policy would continue to protect it.
Cookies and browser storage
FolioDesk uses your browser's storage to keep you logged in and to remember small settings. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment pages to prevent fraud.
Images on printed sheets
Images you upload are stored at long, random web addresses so that your printed sheets and PDFs can show them. Anyone you send a sheet to can see those images, but the addresses cannot be guessed or listed.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and work for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and work within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax and accounting (such as invoices), which Stripe keeps on our behalf.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change your work in the app at any time, and update or cancel your plan from Billing. You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing us. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have further rights, and we will honor them.
Security
Connections to FolioDesk are encrypted, and database rules keep every designer's work private to their own account. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you promptly if a problem affects you.
Children
FolioDesk is a tool for professionals and is not meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and let account holders know by email or in the app.
